Rosemary Kamel
Principal Psychologist, Director
Hello, I’m Rosemary and I’m a registered psychologist. During my time in private practice, I have worked with a wide variety of clients and issues from young adults (18 years) to older adults (65+ years).
Providing you with a nonjudgmental, safe and engaging environment is my priority, to help you deal effectively with the challenges you are facing and developing skills and strategies to achieve your therapeutic goals.
My interests are in working with anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, grief, sleep disturbances, acute stress, low self-esteem and burnout.
My therapy approach includes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT).
I also have extensive corporate experience in coaching and facilitation with individuals in private and public sectors nationally and internationally to strengthen performance and manage change.
Which has developed by skills at being able to build rapport and understanding individuals’ unique cultures and backgrounds to deliver successful outcomes.

Hi, I’m Charlotte and I’m a registered psychologist currently completing my clinical registrar program.
My therapeutic style is warm, relaxed, and engaging. I enjoy connecting with my clients and getting to know them as individuals so that I can tailor treatment to meet their individual needs.
My interests are in working with depression, anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, autism, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress, OCD, and eating disorders. I have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse individuals, and practice from a neuro-affirming lens to help individuals to understand and embrace their unique brains to live an authentic and fulfilling life. I also have experience with working with eating disorders and work from Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, believing that individuals are deserving of help and support regardless of body size.
My therapeutic approach includes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-E).

Hi, my name is Josie. I am a registered psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist with over 15 years of experience in multiple hospital and community settings.
I value building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. By fostering empathy and understanding, I strive to create an environment that is collaborative and supportive. My practice is built upon the use of evidence-based approaches, and I will work with you on meaningful goals and help you to create positive life change.
I can help with a range of concerns, such as anxiety conditions (worry, social anxiety, phobias, panic), obsessive-compulsive disorder, low mood/depression, stress, adjustment difficulties, low self-confidence, and neurological conditions.
My treatment approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Positive Psychology.
Catherine Mina Provisional Psychologist
Catherine is a provisional psychologist with a master’s in professional psychology completed at Monash University, with a previous degree completed in biomedicine at the University of Melbourne. As such, Catherine takes an interest in holistic approaches to dealing with mental health difficulties and well-being.
Catherine has a specific interest and experience in working with anxiety (general or social), ranging from mild to severe presentations, along with emotional regulation difficulties, depression and low self-esteem.
In her therapeutic approach, Catherine uses a strength-based approach alongside evidence- based strategies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, adjusting her technique to meet the needs of her clients. Catherine is passionate about working with children, she is able to connect with them through play-based approaches and use play to incorporate evidence-based strategies for a seamless approach to working with children.
Catherine creates a safe, non-judgmental space for clients from unique backgrounds, with a warm and understanding approach in her therapeutic work.

Administrative Receptionist
Hi, I'm Victoria and I work as the administrative receptionist at Restoring Minds Psychology. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where every client feels comfortable and respected from the moment they arrive.
In addition to my role at the clinic, I am a provisional psychologist currently completing my Masters in Professional Psychology. My background as a private music teacher has given me valuable insight into working with children, fostering my passion for supporting children and adolescents in their mental health journey. In the future, I look forward to working closely with young clients, guiding them through their mental health journey with care and support.
I am excited to contribute to the compassionate and supportive care at Restoring Minds Psychology, ensuring both our team and clients feel valued and supported.
Faith Maccar
Provisional Psychologist | Art Therapist
As a therapist currently undergoing a doctoral degree with endorsements in clinical and sport & exercise psychology, I am excited to bring the best, evidenced-based tools and interventions to clients from various walks of life, seeking mental health support. Clients, young and old, are consistently met with warmth, understanding, care and treatment tailored to their therapeutic goals.
I provide executive function, cognitive, and educational assessments for children and adults, including ADHD evaluations and standardised tests such as the WAIS-IV, WISC-V, and WIAT-III. Additionally, I offer treatment and support for a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, sleep concerns and neurodivergence.
Previously working closely with children has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to help address a range of children’s concerns including school refusal, bullying, stress and disruptive behaviour.
My therapy approach includes: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Art Therapy.
We are located in a modern, comfortable suite above Laurent Bakery off Whitehorse Road in Balwyn. Entrance is from the secure laneway to the side of Laurent and there is ample parking available behind the building which can be accessed from Rochester St.
